How to Use Graph View Now

Option 1: Open 🗺️ DMV Ecosystem Navigator

  1. Open 🗺️ DMV Ecosystem Navigator - START HERE
  2. Switch to graph view (local or global)
  3. This super-hub links to all 105+ organizations, creating a massive hub-and-spoke visualization

Option 2: Filter by Tags

Use graph view filters to isolate specific clusters:

  • #tier1-comp - Show only maximum compensation companies (AWS, Capital One, etc.)
  • #no-clearance - Show 40+ organizations not requiring clearance
  • #clearance-required - Show defense/IC cluster
  • #data-engineering - Show companies with strong data engineering focus
  • #defense - Isolate defense contractors and primes
  • #finance - Show finance cluster
  • #saas - Show SaaS cluster

Option 3: Explore Individual Company Networks

  1. Open any of the 7 enhanced profiles
  2. Switch to local graph view
  3. See immediate relationships:
    • AWS: Radiates to finance, defense, SaaS, government
    • Capital One: Connected to AWS, peer banks, defense contractors (talent source)
    • Booz Allen: Dense SI cluster, defense primes, government customers
    • MITRE: FFRDC peers, think tanks, government sponsors
    • Leidos: SI cluster, defense primes, cloud partners
    • Freddie Mac: Finance cluster, think tanks, government research agencies
    • Cvent: SaaS peers, talent pipelines from finance/defense

Next Steps (Optional)

To further enhance graph view utility, consider:

Phase 2: Enhance More Company Profiles (Ranks 8-25)

Priority profiles to enhance next:

  1. Northrop Grumman - Complete defense prime cluster
  2. RTX Corporation - Complete defense prime cluster
  3. Inova Health System - Create healthcare cluster
  4. CACI International - Strengthen SI cluster
  5. Peraton - Complete SI cluster
  6. Navy Federal Credit Union - Strengthen finance cluster
  7. Pentagon Federal Credit Union - Complete credit union sub-cluster
  8. Accenture Federal Services - Add consulting competitor dimension
  9. Deloitte Federal - Complete consulting cluster
  10. General Dynamics IT - Round out top-tier SI cluster

Phase 3: Add Government Agencies as Nodes

Currently government agencies are mentioned in “Government Customers” sections but don’t have their own profile notes. Consider creating lightweight profiles for:

  • NSA, CIA, NGA, NRO, DIA (IC agencies)
  • DARPA, DISA (Defense agencies)
  • Census Bureau, BLS, Federal Reserve (Data/economics agencies)
  • USDS, 18F (Federal tech organizations)

This would create government agency nodes that multiple contractors link to.

Phase 4: Add Think Tanks as Nodes

Similar to government agencies, create profiles for:

  • Brookings Institution
  • RAND Corporation
  • Urban Institute
  • Peterson Institute for International Economics
  • CSIS

Summary

Completed:

  • ✅ Created super-hub MOC note (🗺️ DMV Ecosystem Navigator)
  • ✅ Enhanced 7 strategic company profiles with cross-links
  • ✅ Established 7 major clusters in graph view
  • ✅ Created bidirectional talent flow links
  • ✅ Added comprehensive tags for filtering

Graph View Impact: The graph view now shows:

  1. AWS as central hub with spokes to finance, defense, SaaS, government
  2. Dense SI cluster (Booz Allen ↔ Leidos ↔ SAIC ↔ CACI ↔ Peraton)
  3. Finance cluster (Capital One ↔ Freddie Mac ↔ Fannie Mae ↔ Navy Federal)
  4. Research/mission cluster (MITRE ↔ FFRDCs ↔ Think Tanks)
  5. Talent flow patterns (Defense → Capital One/AWS, lateral SI moves)
  6. Technology partnerships (all modern orgs → AWS/Azure)
  7. Competitive clusters (SIs competing, banks competing, SaaS competing)

Result: The graph view is now a functional intelligence tool showing real ecosystem relationships, not just a tangled mess of random connections.
